Wow…what a difference a year makes! We nearly doubled the participants in our 2nd Easley Lions Run for Sight!!! This year only our second year we had 150 charging through the streets of EASLEY, SC in what has been called a Runner Friendly Run in a FRIENDLY city…

Once again the Easley Lions Club wants to thank all of the sponsors and the participants for a successful event.

The overall winners were for the men Matt Henderson at 17:29, Pierre-Yves Page at 17:33, and William Guzuick at 18:06. For the ladies overall went to Karen Beck at 19:39, Ashley Spenser at 20:22, and Kristen Smith at 20:25.

One particular entrant of interest was Dr. Franklin Mason, a Lion from Mullins, SC whose club puts on a Run for Sight and in fact, it was the inspiration of the Easley Lions Club Run for Sight. Please check out the date for the Mullins Lions Club Run for Sight at strictlyrunning.com. They also run a 10k. Dr. Franklin Mason has completed over 119 marathons and tons of other runs as well. The Easley Lions Club was proud to have Dr. Mason be a part of our Run for Sight. Please be reminded that our next Easley Lions Run for Sight will take place on May 17, 2008 at 8:30 AM.

We run the course that was originally run as the Fire Cracker Frolic but is now officially know as EASLEY LIONS RUN for SIGHT. The certification code by RRCA is SC91004BS. The start location is Old Market Square Easley, SC
